Grief is complicated, messy, and deeply personal. There’s no “right” way to grieve, but there are ways to support yourself through the journey. Here are some ways to process grief in a healthy way:
Normalize Your ExperienceGrief isn’t linear, and no two people experience it the same way. It’s okay to feel sadness, anger, numbness, or even moments of joy. Your feelings are valid.
Express Your EmotionsJournaling, letter-writing, or creative outlets can help externalize emotions that feel too heavy to hold inside.
Take Care of Your Body & MindGrief affects both your emotional and physical well-being. Gentle movement, breathwork, and self-care can support your healing.
Honor Your Loss in Meaningful WaysKeeping traditions, creating memory boxes, or carrying forward lessons from your loved one can help you maintain a connection while moving forward.
Seek Support & Set BoundariesGrief can feel isolating, but you don’t have to go through it alone. Surround yourself with those who honor your grief, and set boundaries with those who rush your healing.
Give Yourself Permission to Find MeaningHealing doesn’t mean forgetting. It means learning how to integrate your loss into your life in a way that allows you to keep going—at your own pace.
